Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from the Battlefields area, head towards the N3 highway. Once on the N3, follow the signs towards Pretoria. After approximately 140 kilometers, take the exit toward the R21 highway towards Pretoria. Continue on the R21 and then take the exit toward the M1 highway. Follow the M1 towards the city center of Pretoria. Take the exit for Eeufees Road and follow the road until you see the Voortrekker Monument on your left. There is parking available on-site, but note that there may be an entrance fee.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  For those using public transportation, first, you will need to get to a bus terminal in the Battlefields area that services routes to Pretoria. Look for buses that run towards Pretoria's central bus station. Once you arrive at the Pretoria bus station, take a taxi or local bus to the Voortrekker Monument. You can ask local drivers to take you directly there, which is approximately a 15-minute drive from the bus station. Ensure you have small change for the taxi fare, which might cost around R50 to R100.

• Taxi or Ride-Sharing

  If you prefer a more direct route and convenience, you can book a taxi or use ride-sharing services like Uber from your location in the Battlefields to the Voortrekker Monument. Simply enter 'Voortrekker Monument, Eeufees Rd, Groenkloof, Pretoria' as your destination. The ride should take approximately 2 hours depending on traffic, and costs will vary based on the exact pickup location and demand, but expect to pay between R600 to R800.
