Getting There

Car
From any point in Bushveld, head towards the R33 highway. If you are in Vaalwater, follow the signs to the R33. Once on the R33, travel approximately 10km towards Wolwefontein. Look for Vrymansrust Road on your right; it is well-marked. Turn onto Vrymansrust Road and continue for about 5km. The entrance to Kamonande Nature Reserve will be on your left. Make sure to check the operating hours: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. There is no entry fee mentioned, but be prepared for possible costs related to vehicle use or fuel.

Public Transportation
If you do not have a car, you can start your journey by taking a bus from major towns in Bushveld, such as Vaalwater. Look for buses heading towards Wolwefontein or direct to Vaalwater. Once you reach Vaalwater, you can hire a taxi or an Uber to take you to Kamonande Nature Reserve. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your ride. The taxi ride from Vaalwater to Kamonande should take around 15-20 minutes, and the cost may range between ZAR 150 to ZAR 300 depending on the driver.
