Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the city center, start at the Company's Garden, located at 19 Queen Victoria St, Cape Town City Centre. Walk towards the east exit of the garden, which leads to Queen Victoria Street. Turn right onto Queen Victoria Street and continue walking until you reach Wale Street. Turn left onto Wale Street and continue straight for about 500 meters. You will see the colorful houses of Bo-Kaap on your left. The destination, 97 Wale St, is approximately 50 meters further down on the left.

• Public Transport (MyCiTi Bus)

  From the city center, head to the nearest MyCiTi bus stop, which can be found at the Civic Centre station. Take the bus towards the 'Hout Bay' route. Disembark at the 'Wale Street' stop. Once you get off, walk back towards Wale Street and turn left. Continue straight for about 200 meters, and you will arrive at Bo-Kaap, specifically at 97 Wale St, which is a prominent location within the area.

• Taxi (Metered Taxi or Rideshare)

  You can easily call a metered taxi or use a rideshare app like Uber or Bolt. Simply input '97 Wale St, Schotsche Kloof, Cape Town' as your destination. The driver will navigate you to the location directly. This is a convenient option if you prefer not to walk or use public transport.

• Cycling

  If you are comfortable with cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in the city center. Start at the V&A Waterfront and cycle towards the city center. Head towards Strand Street and then make your way to Wale Street. Follow Wale Street for about 1 kilometer, and you will reach Bo-Kaap, specifically 97 Wale St. Be cautious of traffic and ensure you follow local cycling laws.
