Travel Guide to Plaisir Wine Estate

Getting There

• Bus

  From the Cape Town City Centre, head to the Civic Centre Bus Station. Take the Golden Arrow Bus Route 152 towards 'Simondium' or 'Paarl'. The bus will take you through scenic areas and drop you off in Simondium. Once you disembark, you can either walk or take a short taxi ride to Plaisir Wine Estate, which is approximately a 2 km walk east along the R45.

• Train

  Make your way to the Cape Town Railway Station. Take the train on the Central Line towards 'Kuils River' or 'Bellville'. Get off at the Paarl station. From Paarl Station, you can catch a taxi or use a rideshare service to get to Plaisir Wine Estate, which is about a 15-minute drive away. Alternatively, you can check if there are any local shuttle services available that go to wineries.

• Ride-sharing

  Using a ride-sharing app like Uber or Bolt, input 'Plaisir Wine Estate' as your destination. This is the most convenient way to reach the estate directly from anywhere in Cape Town. The ride will take approximately 45 minutes depending on traffic conditions.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous and want to explore the area on two wheels, you can rent a bicycle from a local shop. Cycle from Cape Town via the R44 route towards Simondium. This route is approximately 40 km and will take around 2-3 hours depending on your cycling speed. Be cautious of traffic and ensure you have a map or GPS for navigation.
