Train

If you are starting from Cape Town city center, head to the Cape Town Train Station located at Adderley Street. Purchase a ticket to St James Station on the Southern Line. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at St James Station, exit the station and walk towards Main Road. Turn left onto Main Road and continue walking for about 5 minutes until you reach St James Beach.
Bus

From the city center, you can take the MyCiTi bus service. Head to the MyCiTi bus stop at the Cape Town Civic Centre. Take the bus heading towards Hout Bay and get off at the St James stop on Main Road. After you get off, walk down Main Road for about 5 minutes and you will arrive at St James Beach.
Walking

If you are nearby, you can walk to St James Beach. The beach is located along Main Road in St James. Look for landmarks such as the St James Railway Station or the St James Swimming Pool, which is right next to the beach.
