Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the East London Central area, start by heading south on Oxford Street towards the intersection with Caxton Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Fleet Street. Turn left onto Fleet Street and walk until you reach the traffic lights at the intersection with the N2 highway. Cross the N2 highway using the pedestrian crossing. After crossing, turn right and follow the N2 towards the east. After about 1 km, you will see a sign for Beaconsfield Road on your left. Turn left onto Beaconsfield Road, and the East London Zoo will be on your right after approximately 500 meters.

  • Public Transport

    From the East London Central Bus Station, take a minibus taxi heading towards Parkside. Confirm with the driver that they will take you near the East London Zoo. The taxi ride should take around 10-15 minutes. Get off at the intersection near the Beaconsfield Road stop. From there, you can walk along Beaconsfield Road for about 500 meters, and you will reach the entrance of the East London Zoo on your right.
