Getting There

    If you are driving from Johannesburg, take the N17 highway towards Springs. Continue on the N17 and take exit 143 for the R51 toward Nigel. Merge onto R51 and follow it until you reach the intersection with Nigel Delmas Road. Turn right onto Nigel Delmas Road, and after approximately 5 kilometers, you will see the entrance to Marievale Bird Sanctuary on your left. There is a small entrance fee of around R20 per vehicle.
