Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the center of Highveld. Navigate to the N1 highway and head north. After approximately 5 km, take the exit toward the R101 exit. Continue on the R101 for about 2 km, then turn right onto John Vorster Drive. Follow John Vorster Drive until you reach the intersection with the N14 highway. Turn left onto the N14 and continue for about 2 km. Take the exit toward the R55 and merge onto the R55. After about 3 km, you will reach your destination at Luton Valley Bird Sanctuary, located at coordinates -25.8805545, 28.1993659.

• Public Transportation

  If using public transport, start your journey at the nearest Gautrain station in Centurion. Take the Gautrain to the Midrand station. From there, you will need to catch a taxi or an Uber, as there are limited bus services in the area. Request a ride to Luton Valley Bird Sanctuary using the coordinates -25.8805545, 28.1993659. The taxi service should not cost more than R150, depending on traffic.

• Walking

  If you are already close to the sanctuary, it's possible to walk. Ensure you have a map or GPS to navigate. From the nearest bus stop on R55, head southwest towards Luton Valley Bird Sanctuary. The walk is about 1.5 km and should take approximately 20-30 minutes. However, be aware of the road conditions and always stay on the pedestrian paths.
