Getting there

Car

If you're driving from Nelspruit, take the R40 road towards White River. Continue on the R40 for approximately 20 km until you reach the junction with the R538. Turn left onto R538 and follow the signs towards Hazyview. After about 15 km, turn right onto the R536 towards Sabie. Continue for about 10 km until you see signs for Treurrivier. The river is located just off the R536, with ample parking available. Make sure to have cash on hand for any entrance fees or parking charges, which may vary.

Public Transportation

To reach Treurrivier via public transport, first take a taxi or a bus from Nelspruit to Hazyview. The journey typically takes around 30-40 minutes. Once in Hazyview, you can hire a local taxi to take you directly to Treurrivier. Ensure you negotiate the fare before starting the trip, as public transportation options might not operate frequently in this area. Be prepared for the taxi fare to be around R100 to R150 depending on the distance.

Bicycle

For the adventurous, cycling to Treurrivier can be a rewarding experience. Start from Hazyview, and take the R536 road towards Sabie.
