Walking
If you are starting from the Pretoria railway station, exit the station and head north on Paul Kruger Street towards Pretorius Street. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Vermeulen Street. Turn left onto Vermeulen Street and walk for another 1 kilometer. You will come to the intersection with Government Avenue. Turn right onto Government Avenue, and you will see the Union Buildings straight ahead, approximately 500 meters away.

Public Transport (Bus)
From the Pretoria CBD, head to the nearest bus stop. You can take the Gautrain bus service which operates from various points in the city. Board a bus heading towards the Union Buildings. The bus will take you directly to a stop near the Union Buildings, which is located on Government Avenue. Once you disembark, walk a short distance to reach the entrance of the Union Buildings.

Walking from the National Zoological Gardens
If you are at the National Zoological Gardens, exit the gardens and head west towards the intersection with Hamilton Street. Turn left on Hamilton Street and walk for about 800 meters until you reach the intersection with Government Avenue. Turn right onto Government Avenue, and continue walking for about 1 kilometer. The Union Buildings will be on your left.

Starting at the Pretoria Art Museum, exit the museum and turn right onto Visagie Street. Walk straight for about 600 meters until you reach the intersection with Government Avenue. Turn left onto Government Avenue, and walk for approximately 1 kilometer. The Union Buildings will be located ahead on your right.
