After approximately 120 kilometers, take the exit towards the R63 toward Graaff-Reinet. Continue on the R63 until you reach Graaff-Reinet, which is around 50 kilometers away. Once in Graaff-Reinet, follow the signs to the Valley of Desolation, which is located about 15 kilometers from the town center. The entrance to the valley is well marked. Note that there is a small entrance fee of approximately R20 per vehicle.

    For those using public transport, you can take a bus from Port Elizabeth or East London to Graaff-Reinet. Various bus services operate along this route, and the journey may take approximately 3-4 hours. Once you arrive in Graaff-Reinet, you will need to hire a taxi or use a local shuttle service to reach the Valley of Desolation, which is about 15 kilometers from the bus station.
