Travel Guide to Hoogeberg Breweries at Signal Gun Wines

Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from any location within Table Mountain National Park, head northwest towards the M3 highway. Merge onto the M3 and continue for approximately 10 kilometers. Take the exit toward N1/R301 and continue on the N1 for about 15 kilometers. Take the exit for R302 toward Durbanville. Follow the R302 for about 8 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Vissershok Road. Turn left onto Vissershok Road and then take the first right onto Hooggelegen Road. The entrance to Signal Gun Wines, where Hoogeberg Breweries is located, will be on your left.

• Public Transportation (Train and Taxi)

  From Table Mountain National Park, make your way to the nearest train station, which is in Cape Town city center. Board a train towards Durbanville (make sure it’s the correct line as some may not go directly). Once you arrive at the Durbanville station, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to Signal Gun Wines. The distance from Durbanville station to Signal Gun Wines is approximately 10 kilometers, and the taxi ride should take about 15-20 minutes. Expect to pay around R100 for the taxi fare.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  Take a MyCiTi bus from Cape Town city center to Durbanville. You will need to catch the bus that goes to the Durbanville station. Upon arrival, you can either walk (approximately 2 kilometers) or take a taxi from there to Signal Gun Wines. If you choose to walk, head northwest on Main Road towards Vissershok Road, then turn left onto Hooggelegen Road. The brewery should be on your left. The bus fare will be approximately R30.
