    If you are driving, start your journey from the main entrance of Table Mountain National Park. Head towards Tafelberg Road, which is the main road leading to the Aerial Cableway. Follow the signs for the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway. The drive from the entrance to the cableway parking lot is approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to pay for parking upon arrival. As of the latest updates, parking rates are around R10 per hour.

    Public Transportation

    To reach Maclear via public transportation, take a MyCiTi bus to the 'Table Mountain Aerial Cableway' stop. The buses run frequently from the city center and cost around R10 per trip. Upon arriving at the Aerial Cableway stop, you will be just a short walk from the cableway station. Follow the signs to the cableway entrance, where you can purchase tickets to ascend Table Mountain.

    Cable Car

    Once at the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway, purchase your tickets at the station. The cost for a return ticket is approximately R360 for adults and R180 for children. The cable car ride offers stunning views of Cape Town, taking about 5-10 minutes to reach the summit. After reaching the top, follow the signs to Maclear's Beacon, which is the highest point on Table Mountain. It is about a 30-minute hike from the cable car station to Maclear's Beacon. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water.
