Getting There

  • Car

    From Tsitsikamma National Park, head south on the N2 highway. Continue for approximately 25 kilometers until you reach the exit for the R340 towards Plettenberg Bay. Take the R340 exit and turn left onto the R340. Continue on the R340 for about 6 kilometers until you reach a T-junction. Turn right onto the N2 highway heading south. After about 5 kilometers, take the exit for The Crags (R342). Follow the R342 for about 2 kilometers, then turn left onto Animal Alley. Birds of Eden will be on your right after approximately 1 kilometer.

  • Public Transportation

    If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Tsitsikamma National Park to Plettenberg Bay. The journey typically takes about 1 hour. Upon arrival in Plettenberg Bay, you can take a local taxi or rideshare service to reach Birds of Eden. Inform the driver to take you to Portion 11 & 12 of Kirbywood Farm, Animal Alley, The Crags. Expect a fare of approximately ZAR 200 for the taxi ride.

  • Taxi

    If you prefer a more direct option, you can book a taxi from Tsitsikamma National Park directly to Birds of Eden. The drive is about 40 kilometers and should take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Be prepared to pay around ZAR 400 for this service.
