Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from the center of Waterberg, head southwest on the R101 towards the R516. Continue on the R516 for about 20 kilometers until you reach the junction with the R33. Turn left onto the R33 and continue for another 10 kilometers. Look for signs to Waterberg Game Park and turn right onto Sondagsloop Road. Follow the signs for Thirsty Warthog, which is located at the corner of Sondagsloop and Sukses Farm within the park. The total drive is approximately 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Note that there may be an entrance fee to the park, so prepare for possible additional costs.

• Public Transport

  For those using public transport, you can take a taxi or shuttle service from the central area of Waterberg to Waterberg Game Park. This service may take around 30-50 minutes depending on traffic. Inform the driver to drop you off at the entrance of the park. Once you arrive at the park, you will need to pay an entrance fee. From the entrance, you can walk or arrange for a short shuttle ride to Thirsty Warthog, which is located within the park complex.

• Walking

  If you're within walking distance inside Waterberg Game Park, you can follow the designated walking trails to reach Thirsty Warthog. Make sure to have a map of the park or ask for directions at the entrance, as the trails can be winding. Walking may take around 15-30 minutes depending on your starting point within the park.
