Walking
If you are in downtown Beaufort, start by heading south on Bay Street towards the waterfront. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Carteret Street. Turn right on Carteret Street and follow it as it curves into Ribaut Road. Follow Ribaut Road until you reach the intersection with Highway 278. Cross the highway at the traffic light and continue walking straight. You will pass by some shops and restaurants. Once you reach the intersection with Burkes Beach Road, turn left. Continue on Burkes Beach Road for about 1 mile until you reach the entrance to Burkes Beach on your right.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can start your ride from downtown Beaufort. Head south on Bay Street towards the waterfront, then turn right onto Carteret Street. Follow Carteret as it turns into Ribaut Road. Keep cycling straight until you reach Highway 278. Safely cross the highway using the designated crosswalk. After crossing, continue straight on Burkes Beach Road. The beach entrance will be about 1 mile ahead on your right. Make sure to lock your bike when you arrive.

From downtown Beaufort, head to the nearest bus stop on Bay Street. You can take the local bus service that travels towards Hilton Head Island. Make sure to ask the driver for a stop near Burkes Beach. When you get off, walk towards Burkes Beach Road, which should be nearby.
