If you are starting from the Beaufort Visitor Center located at 713 Craven St, Beaufort, SC 29902, exit the center and head west on Craven St toward the waterfront. Turn left onto Bay St, continue for about 0.5 miles until you reach New St. Turn right onto New St. After a short walk, you will find the Thomas Hepworth House located at 214 New St on your left.

For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local shops. Start at the Beaufort Waterfront Park and head north on the Spanish Moss Trail. Continue toward the city center, then turn left onto Craven St. Follow Craven St to Bay St, then turn right on Bay St. After about 0.5 miles, turn right onto New St. The Thomas Hepworth House will be on your left at 214 New St.
