Car
If you are traveling by car, head toward the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Walker Knob Overlook is located at Milepost 359.8 on the Blue Ridge Parkway. From Asheville, take I-40 East and exit at exit 64 toward Black Mountain. Merge onto US-70 East and continue for about 12 miles. Look for the signs to merge onto the Blue Ridge Parkway. Continue on the Parkway for approximately 15 miles until you reach Milepost 359.8, where you'll find the overlook. There is no entrance fee to access the overlook.

If you're using public transportation, take a bus to Asheville, NC. From the Asheville bus station, you can either rent a car or use a rideshare service to reach Walker Knob Overlook. Follow the same directions as above from Asheville. Renting a car may incur costs starting around $40 per day, plus fuel. Rideshare services like Uber or Lyft can also be used, but prices may vary depending on demand and distance.
