If you're starting from the Charleston City Market, exit the market onto Meeting Street. Head south on Meeting Street towards Broad Street. Once you reach Broad Street, turn left and walk until you reach East Battery. Turn right onto East Battery and continue walking for several blocks. The Edmondston-Alston House is located at 21 E Battery, on your left side, just past the intersection with South Battery.

From the Charleston Visitor Center, take the CARTA Bus Route 10 towards Folly Beach. Get off at the stop at East Bay Street and State Street. From there, walk east on State Street until you reach East Battery. Turn left onto East Battery and continue walking until you reach 21 E Battery, the Edmondston-Alston House will be on your left.

If you have access to a bike, start at the Charleston Waterfront Park. Head east on Concord Street. Turn left onto East Bay Street and continue until you reach the intersection with Broad Street.
