Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the center of the Historic District, head south on Meeting Street towards Broad Street. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with East Battery Street. Turn left onto East Battery. Walk for about 0.3 miles, and you will see the Edmondston-Alston House at 21 E Battery on your right. It's a beautiful historic building, so take your time to enjoy the architecture along the way.

Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in the Historic District. Start at your rental location and head south on King Street. Turn right onto Broad Street and continue to East Battery. Turn left onto East Battery and cycle for about 0.3 miles until you reach the Edmondston-Alston House at 21 E Battery. Remember to park your bike at a designated bike rack.

Public Transportation
While there is no direct public transportation route to the Edmondston-Alston House, you can take the DASH (Downtown Area Shuttle) service. Board the DASH at any nearby stop in the Historic District and get off at the stop near East Bay Street. From there, walk south on East Bay Street for about 0.2 miles, then turn left onto East Battery. Walk for another 0.1 miles, and you will find the Edmondston-Alston House at 21 E Battery. Note: The DASH service is free.
