From Edisto Beach, head northeast on Palmetto Blvd toward Edisto Island. Continue on Palmetto Blvd for about 6 miles until you reach the intersection with SC-174. Turn left onto SC-174 and drive for approximately 4 miles. You will see signs for Botany Bay Heritage Preserve. Turn right onto Botany Bay Rd, and follow this road for 1.5 miles until you reach the preserve entrance, which will be on your left. There is no entrance fee, but be mindful of the preserve's operating hours, which are from 8 AM to 5 PM daily.

Currently, there is limited public transportation available directly to Botany Bay Heritage Preserve. A recommended option is to take a taxi or rideshare service from your location in Edisto Island. If you enjoy cycling, you can bike to Botany Bay Heritage Preserve. From Edisto Beach, take Palmetto Blvd north towards SC-174. Once you reach SC-174, turn left and continue biking for about 4 miles. Then, take a right onto Botany Bay Rd and ride for 1.5 miles until you arrive at the preserve. Be sure to wear a helmet and bring water, as this route can be hot during summer months.
