Getting There

  • Car

    From Kiawah Island, start by heading west on Kiawah Island Parkway (the main road out of the island). Continue straight for approximately 5 miles until you reach the junction with US-17. Take a left onto US-17 South and follow the signs for Folly Beach. After about 10 miles, take the exit for Folly Beach (SC-171). Follow SC-171 for about 5 miles until you reach Folly Beach. Once you arrive, turn left onto W Ashley Ave. Folly Beach County Park will be on your right at 1100 W Ashley Ave. Note: There is a parking fee at the park.

From Charleston, you can take the CARTA bus service (Route 30 - Folly Beach) which will take you directly to Folly Beach. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes.
