Bus
If you are starting from the center of Summerville, head to the nearest bus stop located at the intersection of Main Street and Central Avenue. Take the CARTA Route 10 towards Charleston. Remain on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the 'Meeting St. at Broad St.' stop in Charleston. From there, head east on Broad Street towards the Battery. Continue walking straight for about 0.5 miles, and you will see the Edmondston-Alston House at 21 E Battery on your left.

Bicycle
From the center of Summerville, you can rent a bicycle from a local rental shop. Start by heading south on Main Street towards the Ashley River. Follow the bike path along Main Street until you reach the 'Dorchester Rd' intersection. Turn left onto Dorchester Rd and continue towards Charleston. Once in Charleston, follow the bike lanes toward East Bay Street. Turn right on East Bay Street, then left on Broad Street. Finally, turn right on E Battery, and the Edmondston-Alston House will be on your left.

If you are in Summerville and prefer to walk, head towards the Summerville Historic District. Start at the Summerville Town Hall and walk south on S Main St. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with E 2nd N St. Turn right on E 2nd N St and follow it until you reach the intersection with E 3rd N St. Turn left onto E 3rd N St and continue walking until you reach the Ashley River. Cross the river, and you will find yourself in Charleston. Once in Charleston, navigate to Broad Street and head east until you reach E Battery, where the Edmondston-Alston House is located.
