If you're traveling by car within Badlands National Park, start at the Ben Reifel Visitor Center, which is located at 25216 Ben Reifel Rd, Interior, SD 57750. From the visitor center, head southeast on SD-240 (Badlands Loop Road) for approximately 10 miles. Watch for signs directing you to the Cliff Shelf Nature Trailhead. The trailhead is located on the right side of the road. There is a small parking area available for visitors.
