    Start at the Custer County Courthouse located at 420 Mount Rushmore Rd. Head south on Mount Rushmore Rd toward 5th St. Continue straight as this road becomes 6th St. After about 0.4 miles, you will reach the intersection with Pageant Hill Drive. Turn left onto Pageant Hill Drive. Continue walking for approximately 0.6 miles, and you will find Pageant Hill on your right. Look for the signs that indicate viewpoints and trails.

  • Biking

    If you have a bike, begin at the Custer State Park Visitor Center. Head west on Highway 16A, then turn left onto 6th St after about 0.5 miles. Follow 6th St until it merges with Pageant Hill Drive. Continue biking for approximately 1 mile, and you will see Pageant Hill on the left. There are bike racks available for parking your bicycle.

    From the Custer State Park Visitor Center, take the walking trail that leads northeast through the park. Follow the trail signs for about 1.5 miles until you arrive at Pageant Hill Drive. Turn right onto Pageant Hill Drive and walk for another 0.5 miles. Pageant Hill will be on your left, marked by a small sign. This route offers scenic views along the way.
