    Walking

    Starting from the center of Deadwood, head northwest on Main Street. Walk to the intersection of Main Street and 4th Street. Continue straight onto 4th Street, which will turn into Mt. Roosevelt Road. Follow Mt. Roosevelt Road for about 1.5 miles. As you walk, you will begin to see signs indicating the direction to Mount Roosevelt Friendship Tower. The road is uphill, so be prepared for a moderate incline. Eventually, you will reach the parking area for the tower. The tower itself is a short walk from the parking area via a well-marked trail.

    If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Deadwood Visitor Center located at 501 Main St. Head east on Main Street and take a left onto 4th Street. Continue on 4th Street, which becomes Mt. Roosevelt Road. The ride is approximately 1.5 miles and involves a steady incline. Be cautious of the traffic and enjoy the scenic views as you approach the Friendship Tower. Once you reach the parking area, you can lock your bike and take a short hike to the tower.
