Start from any location within Palisades State Park and head west on SD-11 N. Continue on SD-11 N for about 14 miles until you reach Sioux Falls. As you approach Sioux Falls, take the exit onto I-229 N toward Brookings. Merge onto I-229 N and then take exit 5 for 26th St. Turn left onto E 26th St. McKennan Park will be on your left at 400 E 26th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57105. There is free parking available in the park.

If you are using public transportation, you will first need to find a bus service that can take you from Palisades State Park to Sioux Falls. The Sioux Falls bus service (Sioux Area Metro) operates routes around Sioux Falls. You may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to get to the nearest bus stop from the park. Once you reach a bus stop, take the bus towards downtown Sioux Falls. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time. Once you arrive in downtown Sioux Falls, walk east on 26th St for about 1 mile, and McKennan Park will be on your left at 400 E 26th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57105. Note that bus fares may apply, typically around $1.00 per ride.
