If you are driving from Wall, SD, take I-90 W. After approximately 30 miles, take exit 110 towards Badlands National Park. Merge onto SD-240 and continue for about 15 miles. The Cliff Shelf Nature Trailhead will be on your left, marked with a sign. There is no entry fee for this specific trailhead, but be aware that there is a fee for entering Badlands National Park, which is $30 per vehicle, valid for 7 days.
