Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from the central area of Gyeongju. Use your GPS or map application and set the destination to '238 Seokgul-ro, Gyeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do'. The route is approximately 30 minutes from Gyeongju Historic Areas. Drive east on Route 7, then take the exit towards Seokguram Grotto. Follow the signs that direct you to the parking area near the grotto. Note that parking fees may apply, so be prepared to pay approximately 2,000 KRW.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    For those using public transportation, head to the Gyeongju Bus Terminal. From there, take the bus number 10 or 11 towards Seokguram Grotto. The bus ride will take about 40 minutes. Ensure you have small change for the fare, which is around 1,200 KRW. Once you arrive at the Seokguram Grotto bus stop, follow the signs to the entrance, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill.

  • Taxi

    If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from the Gyeongju Historic Areas. The taxi ride will take around 20 minutes and will cost approximately 15,000 KRW to 20,000 KRW depending on traffic. Taxis are a convenient option if you're traveling in a group.
