Getting There

  • Subway

    From Incheon Station, take Line 1 (the dark blue line) towards Seoul Station. At Seoul Station, transfer to Line 4 (the light blue line) and head towards Dongdaemun. Alight at Dongguk University Station. Take Exit 6 and walk straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection. Jogyesa Temple will be on your left at 55 Ujeongguk-ro.

  • Bus

    From Incheon City Hall, board bus number 1 or 4 towards Jongno 3-ga. After about 50 minutes, get off at the Jongno 3-ga stop. From there, walk about 300 meters south along Ujeongguk-ro, and you will find Jogyesa Temple on your right.

  • Taxi

    If you prefer a taxi, simply tell the driver 'Jogyesa Temple' (조계사). The ride will take approximately 50 minutes from central Incheon, depending on traffic. Ensure to have the address (55 Ujeongguk-ro, Jongno District, Seoul) written down just in case.

  • Walking

    If you are staying nearby in Jongno District, you can walk to Jogyesa Temple. Head towards Ujeongguk-ro and walk straight for about 1 kilometer until you see the temple entrance on your right. It’s a pleasant walk with shops and cafes along the way.
