From the central bus station in Alicante (Estación de Autobuses), take the bus line 20 towards 'Cocentaina'. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Penàguila' stop. From there, the Castell de Penàguila is about a 15-minute walk. You will need to head southeast on Calle de la Constitución, then turn right onto Camí de les Creus, which leads you directly to the castle.

Train and Bus
Take a train from Alicante to Alcoi from the Alicante Train Station (Estación de Renfe). The journey takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Alcoi, head to the Alcoi bus station and take a bus towards 'Penàguila'. The bus ride should take around 30 minutes. After arriving in Penàguila, walk for about 15 minutes southeast on Calle de la Constitución then turn right onto Camí de les Creus to reach the castle.
