From the heart of Barri Gòtic, locate the Cathedral of Barcelona (Catedral de Barcelona) at Pla de la Seu. Head east on Carrer del Bisbe, which is a picturesque street leading out of the cathedral square. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Carrer de Sant Sever. Turn right onto Carrer de Sant Sever and walk until you reach Plaça de Sant Jaume. Saint James's Square (Pl. de Sant Jaume) will be directly ahead. This walk should take around 10 minutes.

If you are near the Plaça del Pi, start by heading south on Carrer del Pi. At the end of the street, turn left onto Carrer de la Portaferrissa. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Carrer de Jaume I. Turn right and walk along Carrer de Jaume I until you arrive at Plaça de Sant Jaume. Expect this route to take approximately 12 minutes.

Public Transport (Metro)
If you are further away from the central areas of Barri Gòtic, you can take the Metro. The nearest metro station is Liceu (Line 3, Green Line). Take the metro heading towards Canyelles and get off at the next stop, which is Drassanes. From Drassanes, walk straight along Carrer de la Rambla and turn right onto Carrer de Jaume I. Continue until you reach Plaça de Sant Jaume. The total time, including walking and metro, should take about 20-25 minutes.
