Breathtaking Views at the Artxanda Viewpoint

Getting There

• Metro

  Start by taking the Metro from any station in Bilbao. If you are near the city center, head to the Abando station (Line 1 or Line 2). Take Line 1 (the green line) towards Plentzia. Get off at the last stop, which is Etxebarri. From Etxebarri station, transfer to Line 2 (the red line) and head towards Basozelai. Get off at the next stop, which is Artxanda station.

• Funicular

  After arriving at Artxanda station, follow the signs to the Funicular de Artxanda. This funicular takes you directly up to the Artxanda viewpoint. It operates regularly, and the ride offers stunning views of the city as you ascend. Purchase a ticket from the machine or at the counter, and board the funicular.

• Walking

  Once you arrive at the top, you will be at the Artxanda viewpoint. If you prefer to walk from the city center, you can start at the Plaza Moyúa. Walk towards the Gran Vía, then head to Enekuri Artxanda Errepidea. The path is steep, so be prepared for a workout. Along the way, you can enjoy the local scenery and greenery.

• Bus

  Alternatively, you can take Bus Line A-3518 from the city center (near the Guggenheim Museum). Board the bus at the designated stop and ride it until you reach the stop for Artxanda. From there, it's a short walk to the viewpoint.
