Walking
Start your journey at the Burgos Cathedral, located in the city center. Exit the cathedral and head northwest towards Plaza Mayor. From Plaza Mayor, take Calle de la Ciudadela and follow it as it turns into Calle del Castillo. This street will lead you directly to the Castillo de Burgos. Once you reach the castle, you will find the Estanque del Castillo just a short walk away, situated near the castle walls, offering a beautiful view of the surrounding area.
Public Transport - Bus
If you prefer to use public transport, make your way to the nearest bus stop to your location. Take bus line 1 or 5 towards the direction of the Castillo. Get off at the 'Castillo' stop. From there, follow the signs leading to the castle. The Estanque del Castillo is located within the castle grounds, just a short walk from the bus stop.
Walking from Parque de la Isla
If you are near Parque de la Isla, exit the park and head east towards the river. Cross the bridge over the Arlanzón River. After crossing, take the path that leads uphill towards the Castillo. Follow the path until you reach the castle entrance. The Estanque del Castillo is located within the castle area, where you can enjoy scenic views of Burgos.
