Car
From Cabo de Gata, take the AL-3115 road heading towards San José. Continue on this road for approximately 7 km until you reach the junction with AL-3117. Turn onto AL-3117, which will lead you directly to Parque Natural Cabo de Gata-Nijar. You may need to pay for parking upon arrival at the park entrance, which usually costs around €5. After parking, follow the signs to Cala de la Media Luna, which is about a 15-20 minute walk from the parking area.
Public Transportation
Take the bus from Cabo de Gata to San José. The bus service operates several times a day, and tickets cost approximately €2-3. Once you arrive in San José, you can either walk (about 30 minutes) or take a taxi to Cala de la Media Luna. If you choose to walk, head towards the beach and follow the coastal path to Cala de la Media Luna, which is well-marked. Be sure to check the bus schedule for the return trip, as services may be limited.
Walking from Parking
Once you have parked your car at the designated area near Parque Natural Cabo de Gata-Nijar, get out and follow the path leading towards the beach. The walk to Cala de la Media Luna takes about 15-20 minutes, and the path is fairly easy to navigate. Look for signposts that indicate the direction to Cala de la Media Luna, as this will ensure you're on the right track.
