From Cabo de Gata, head north on the AL-3115 road towards the town of San José. Continue on AL-3115 until you reach the intersection with the ALP-822 road. Turn left onto ALP-822 and follow the road for approximately 8 km. You will see signs for Vela Blanca Saddle along the way. There is a parking area available near the saddle, but be mindful of any parking regulations.

Take the bus from Cabo de Gata to San José. The bus service is operated by Alsa and runs several times a day. Check the timetable for the most accurate information on departure times. Once you arrive in San José, you can either take a taxi to Vela Blanca Saddle, which is about a 10-minute drive, or opt to hike the remaining distance if you are feeling adventurous. The taxi will cost approximately €10-15.
