From Cabo de Gata, head southeast on the AL-3115 road. Follow the road for approximately 12 km until you reach the junction with the A-7 highway. Take the A-7 highway towards Almería and continue for about 10 km. Then, take exit 15 towards Retamar. Continue straight, and you will see signs directing you to Playa del Retamar. There is usually free parking available nearby, but be sure to check local signs for specific parking regulations.

From Cabo de Gata, walk to the nearest bus stop and take the Almería bus service (Bus Line 31 or similar) heading towards Almería. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes.
