Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Cádiz Cathedral, head southwest on Plaza de la Catedral towards Calle de la Palma. Turn left onto Calle de la Palma and continue straight until you reach Plaza de San Juan de Dios. From there, follow the road to the right, passing by the Town Hall (Ayuntamiento). Continue straight until you reach the waterfront promenade (Paseo de Canalejas). Walk along the promenade heading towards the west until you reach the end of the promenade. At the end, turn left onto the Avenida de Andalucía. Continue walking straight, and you will soon see Puerta de Tierra on your left, just past the intersection with Calle José León de Carranza.

    From the Plaza de la Catedral, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Avenida de Andalucía. Take the bus number 2 or 3 towards La Paz. The journey will take approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Puerta de Tierra' stop. After exiting the bus, you will be right in front of Puerta de Tierra, which is an easy walk from the bus stop.
