Car
If you are traveling by car, you can reach Agulles d'Amitges by driving to the town of Espot. From there, take the C-13 road towards La Guingueta d'Ainet and continue until you reach Espot. Follow the signs to the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park. The closest parking area is at the 'Espot' entrance of the park. Parking costs approximately €5 per day. Once parked, you will need to hike to Agulles d'Amitges, which is about a 2 to 3-hour trek depending on your pace.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take a train to La Pobla de Segur. From there, catch a bus to Espot, which operates during the summer months. The bus ride takes about 1 hour. Once in Espot, follow the walking path to the national park entrance. Note that the bus fare is approximately €4-5. After reaching the park entrance, you will have to hike to Agulles d'Amitges, which takes around 2 to 3 hours.
Hiking
Regardless of your method of transport to reach Espot, the final leg to Agulles d'Amitges involves a hike. The trail is well-marked and can be moderately challenging, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and lakes. Be sure to wear appropriate hiking gear and carry water and snacks for the journey. The trail is approximately 8 km long uphill, with an elevation gain of around 600 meters.
