If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Vielha, a major hub in the Catalonia Pyrenees. Head south on the N-230 road towards Bausen. After approximately 15 km, take the exit toward the N-1412 and continue for about 8 km until you reach Bausen. Once in Bausen, follow the signs towards Bosque de Carlac, which is located just outside the town. Parking is available near the entrance to the nature preserve.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Vielha to Bausen. The local bus service operates several times a day. Once you arrive in Bausen, you may need to walk approximately 2 km to reach Bosque de Carlac. Ensure you check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited, especially on weekends. The bus fare is around €3-€5 depending on the route.
Walking
If you are already in Bausen and prefer to walk, you can reach Bosque de Carlac by following the signs. The trail is approximately 2 km long and offers a scenic route through the beautiful landscape of the Pyrenees. It should take you about 30-40 minutes to walk to the entrance of the Bosque de Carlac.
