City of Caliphs: A Self-Guided Walking Tour of Córdoba’s History

Great way to see the city and learn its history.

Excellent tour of the old quarters of Cordoba. Lots of information from the audio guide along the way. Loved that we could stop and re-start whenever we wanted to.

Cordoba with Mosque-Cathedral Private Tour from Granada

Great driver and tour guide for Cordoba.

First, Driver - Michael was our driver. Simply put, he was exceptional. Very knowledgeable, engaging and enjoyable. Very good English; understood the nuances very well. That’s one of the reasons it was so fun to talk with him. He went out of his way to answer all of our questions and even gave us additional exploration tips for our next/final day in Granada. What a treat! In all of our travels, Michael was one of the best drivers we’ve ever had. Second, tour guide in Cordoba - Isabel was delightful. She had a very good mastery of the subject matter. She took all the time needed to give us a very thorough tour of the Cathedral of Cordoba. While English is her second language, she did a very good job communicating all the facts about the cathedral. She clearly has a very bright future in tourism. She made our day enjoyable and we would recommend her highly. Third, a suggestion going forward - the crowds throughout the day were very large and quite noisy. As a result, Isabel would have to stop, face us, and then directly speak to us in order to be heard. This resulted in a continual interruption of our tour and her explanations. We strongly suggest the use of a microphone for the guide and headsets for the guests. This would allow the guide to continually provide information as the guests are viewing the sights, thus avoiding unnecessary interruptions. Well, done to both Michael and Isabel.
