Car
If you're driving from popular locations in Costa del Sol like Torremolinos or Fuengirola, take the AP-7 highway. Follow signs for Málaga and merge onto the A-7. Continue driving until you reach the exit for Málaga Centro. Once in the city, follow signs to the waterfront or 'Paseo Marítimo'. La Farola de Málaga is located at Paseo de la Farola, 17-19, which is near the beach. Parking is available nearby but may incur a fee, typically around €1.50 per hour.
Train
From any town along the Costa del Sol, take the Cercanías train (commuter service) towards Málaga Centro. The closest station is 'Málaga Centro - Alameda'. Upon arrival, exit the station and walk towards the Paseo de la Farola. You can follow the signs for the beach, which will lead you directly to La Farola. The train fare is approximately €2.50.
Bus
You can also take a bus from locations like Marbella or Torremolinos to Málaga. Look for the ALSA or local bus services that head towards the 'Estación de Autobuses' (bus station). Once you arrive at the bus station, walk towards Avenida de Andalucía and take bus line 3 or 11 towards the beach area. Get off at the 'Paseo de la Farola' stop. The bus fare is usually around €2.00.
Taxi or Ridesharing
For a more direct and convenient option, consider taking a taxi or using ridesharing services like Uber. Simply specify your destination as 'La Farola de Málaga, Paseo de la Farola, 17-19'. The fare will depend on your starting location but expect to pay around €10-€25 from central Costa del Sol locations.
Use La Farola de Málaga as your starting point for nearby food, family ideas, nightlife, and more local discoveries.
