Walking
Starting from the center of Girona, head towards the Plaça de la Independència. From there, take Carrer de la Font Nova, which leads into Carrer de Santa Clara. Continue straight until you reach the end of the street and turn left onto Carrer de la Força. Follow this street until you reach the intersection with Carrer de la Barca, then turn right. Walk along Carrer de la Barca until you reach the Pont de Pedra. Cross the bridge and turn left onto Carrer del Riu Galligants. Continue on this road until you reach the Parc de la Devesa. Once inside the park, follow the paths leading north, which will lead you to the foot of the hill where Castell de Sant Miquel is located. The trail will be marked, and you will see signs directing you up to the castle.
Public Transport
From the Girona bus station, take Bus Line 1 (L1) towards 'Girona - Montilivi'. Get off at the stop named 'Carrer de la Devesa'. From there, walk through the Parc de la Devesa heading north. Follow the paths leading towards the Castell de Sant Miquel. The trail will be visible, and you will see signage directing you to the castle as you ascend the hill.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can start from the city center. Begin at the Plaça de la Independència, then ride along Carrer de la Força until you reach the River Onyar. Follow the river north until you reach the Parc de la Devesa. Once at the park, take the designated cycling paths leading north towards the hill of Castell de Sant Miquel. The cycling paths will connect you to the hiking trail that leads to the castle.
