Bus
From the center of Girona, head to the main bus station, Estació d'Autobusos de Girona, located at Carrer de Joan Maragall, 2. Purchase a ticket for Hostalric on a local bus (such as Sarfa). The bus ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Hostalric, get off at the Hostalric bus stop. From the bus stop, walk southeast on Carrer de la Font, then turn left onto Carrer Raval. Continue for about 5 minutes until you reach Torre dels Frares at Carrer Raval, 56.
Train
Make your way to the Girona train station, located at Carrer de Pau Vila, 1. Take a train towards Barcelona or any train that stops at Hostalric. The train journey takes around 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at Hostalric station, exit and walk east along Carrer de la Riera. Continue straight to Carrer Raval, and then turn right. Torre dels Frares will be on your left after a short walk.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the rental shops in Girona, such as 'Girona Cycling' near the city center. Head towards the bike path leading to Hostalric, which follows the scenic roads. The distance is about 20 kilometers and will take approximately 1 hour. Once you reach Hostalric, navigate to Carrer Raval, and Torre dels Frares will be at number 56.
Walking
For a more adventurous route, you can walk to Hostalric from Girona. The distance is approximately 20 km and would take around 4-5 hours. Start from Plaça de la Independència in Girona, heading northeast on Carrer de la Barca, which turns into Carrer de la Riera. Follow the signs towards Hostalric, enjoying the beautiful countryside along the way. Once you reach Hostalric, find Carrer Raval, and Torre dels Frares will be at number 56.
