Getting There

• Walking

  From the heart of Realejo-San Matías, head towards Plaza de Mariana Pineda. Once you reach the square, take the path leading directly to the Alhambra. You'll see signs indicating the way to Jardines del Generalife. Continue walking up Cuesta de los Chinos, which is a steep yet beautiful path. This walk will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Enjoy the views along the way and keep an eye out for directional signs.

• Public Bus

  If you prefer a quicker route, you can take the local bus. Look for the bus stop at Plaza Nueva, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from most areas in Realejo-San Matías. Board the C32 bus towards 'Alhambra' and get off at the stop 'Alhambra'. The fare is about €1.40. From the bus stop, it's a short 10-minute walk to the Jardines del Generalife. Follow the signs through the Alhambra complex to reach the gardens.

• Taxi

  If you would like a more comfortable option, you can take a taxi. You can hail a taxi at any point in Realejo-San Matías. The ride should cost approximately €7-€10 depending on traffic and the exact pickup point. Ask the driver to drop you off at 'Jardines del Generalife'. The taxi will take you directly to the entrance of the gardens, saving you time and effort.
