If you are in the city center, you can walk to Castillo de Gibralfaro. Start at Plaza de la Merced, which is a well-known square. From Plaza de la Merced, head east on Calle Granada until you reach the intersection with Calle Alcazabilla. Turn right onto Calle Alcazabilla and continue straight. You will see the entrance of the Alcazaba on your left. Continue past the Alcazaba entrance and follow the signs towards Castillo de Gibralfaro. The path will take you uphill. It’s about a 20-minute walk, and it can be steep, so wear comfortable shoes.
