From the center of Málaga, head to the main bus station, Estación de Autobuses de Málaga. You can take Line 10 or Line 25 from the city center to the bus station. Once there, buy a ticket for the bus heading to Nerja. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. Ask the driver to drop you off at 'Nerja' (the main bus station).

Once you arrive at the Nerja bus station, exit the station and walk towards Avenida de Pescia. Turn left onto this avenue and follow it for about 1 kilometer. You will reach a junction where you will see the sign for Río Chillar. Follow the sign and continue along the path that leads to the beginning of the Río Chillar trail.
