Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start by getting onto the A-7 motorway from your location in the Murcia Region. Follow the A-7 towards Almería and take exit 590 onto the RM-721 towards Pliego. Continue on the RM-721 for approximately 15 kilometers until you see signs for Pliego. Once you enter Pliego, follow the signs to the Castillo de Pliego, which is located on a hilltop overlooking the town. There is parking available near the castle.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Castillo de Pliego via public transport, take a bus from the main bus station in Murcia to Pliego. The bus service is provided by ALSA, and you can check the schedule on their website or at the station. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Pliego, you may need to walk or take a local taxi to the castle, which is approximately 1.5 kilometers from the bus station. Taxis are usually available outside the bus station.

• Walking

  If you are already in Pliego, and wish to walk to the Castillo, you can start from the town center. Head towards Calle de la Iglesia and follow the signs to the castle. The walk is approximately 20 minutes and involves a slight uphill climb, so wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
