Paseo del Malecón: A Serene Retreat in Murcia

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the city center (Plaza de las Flores), head southeast towards Calle de la Libertad. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Gran Vía. Turn left onto Gran Vía and walk approximately 1 kilometer until you see a large roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenida de la Constitución, following the signs towards the river. Continue walking straight for about 800 meters, and you will arrive at Paseo del Malecón, located right alongside the Segura River.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  From Plaza de las Flores, walk to the nearest bus stop at Plaza de Santo Domingo. Catch the bus number 5 or 7, which will take you towards the river. Ride the bus for about 10-15 minutes and get off at the stop called 'Puente de los Peligros.' From there, walk down the path towards the river, where you will find Paseo del Malecón just a short 5-minute walk away along the riverbank.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops near Plaza de las Flores. Head southeast towards Calle de la Libertad, then turn onto Gran Vía. Keep cycling straight until you reach the roundabout and take the exit onto Avenida de la Constitución. Follow the bike path along the river for about 1.5 kilometers until you arrive at Paseo del Malecón, where you can enjoy a scenic ride along the river's edge.
