Getting there

Car

If you are driving, start your journey towards Tavascan from the major city of La Seu d'Urgell. Take the N-260 road northwest, following signs for Sort. After about 45 minutes, you'll reach Sort. From Sort, continue on the N-260 for approximately 25 km until you see signs for Lladorre. Turn onto the LV-5005 road, which will lead you directly to Tavascan. The entire drive takes about 1.5 hours from La Seu d'Urgell. Make sure to have a GPS or a map, as some sections of the road can be winding and may not be well-marked.

Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, begin your journey at the La Seu d'Urgell bus station. Look for the bus service operated by ALSA or another local company that runs routes to Sort. Once you arrive in Sort, you will need to transfer to a local bus heading to Tavascan. These buses may not run frequently, so check the schedule in advance. The entire journey can take around 2.5 to 3 hours depending on bus connections and waiting times. Prepare for some time waiting at the bus stops, and ensure you have cash or a card to pay for the tickets.

Combination (Car + Hiking)
